Scenes from Cars and Coffee

A few scenes from Cars and Coffee this past weekend.

From the boot of a gorgeous Jaguar XK150

Just a friendly reminder from a concours quality E28-M5.

It's true.   The typical Rolls Royce Phantom owner probably never opens the hood.   Yet for $263,200 MSRP, I'd expect a little better than this.     You're looking a cheap plastic cover made to look like the top of a motor.  It doesn't even sit on top well, there are huge gaps around it.   It's horrible and a little sad to see so little authenticity in a marque with such a long history of the very opposite.

The Cutest VW Bus Ever

I've seen a lot of buses, but this one might qualify as the cutest one ever.

This little green guy was spotted in the McGuckin parking lot in Boulder, CO.    California tags.

The Riviera

Little about this hard-edged Riviera conjures tanned skin, cocktails, or card tables. Found on the mean streets of Boulder, CO.

Wanderlust

Rubber on asphalt, wind in your hair, and a smile on your face.

The call of the open road.   Your adventure... awaits.

Hold Me, She Whispered.

The lever rests beneath your palm, floating above the iconic shift gate.   Polished and perfect, its cool surface against your skin, connecting man and machine.

Can you hear it whispering, urging you on?   Will you heed the call?

The road lies ahead.

Time Traveling Triumph

Certain cars just elicit a gut reaction.   As you pass by, you find your head turning to catch a better glimpse.   A flood of memories washes over you,  or maybe you're seeing it for the first time.  Either way, you can't take your eyes away.

I spotted this Triumph TR3 on the streets of Aspen,  its chrome sparkling in the crisp autumn sunshine.    There was something magical about this roadster.  Standing next to it was like traveling to another time.

It was absolutely gorgeous.
